  • The best way to get involved is to attend trips and events! Attend trips, visit us at Society Expos, use the gear library, attend our AGMs… the list goes on.

    We hire for Trip Leaders and Gear Team at the start of each semester, and our Exec positions open at the end of Winter semester (these are voted positions; voting occurs at our Winter AGM).

    You’re also always welcome to drop by the Gear Library during Gear Hours to say ‘hi’ to the Gear Team and whichever Exec are in the office at that time.

  • No, unfortunately for liability reasons, only current Dalhousie and King's students are allowed to attend any of the trips DOS runs.

  • Not necessarily! We offer a wide range of trips catered to different experience levels. We try to be clear about experience expectations on the event description page, but if you’re ever unsure, you can contact the Trip Leader running the trip (their email will be in the event description) with any questions or concerns.
