Levy Increase!

This February, we’re proposing a levy increase in the DSU Election, raising our funding from $0.50 to $1.00 per student. This extra support will allow us to offer more trips, better gear, and more fun experiences for everyone!

To make this happen, we need over 1,000 student signatures to get on the ballot. Every signature counts!

Help us reach our goal—sign the form here!

What we're all about

The Dalhousie Outdoors Society (DOS) is a levied society that aims to increase the connectedness of the Dalhousie community with the outdoors. Experienced trip leaders provide organized opportunities for Dalhousie students to participate in outdoor activities from hiking, backpacking, skiing, bouldering, and everything in between. A fully stocked gear library is available, with free rentals for all Dalhousie students. The DOS gear library has everything you would need to get out and experience the outdoors, from full camping set ups, bouldering pads, snorkel gear, surf boards, bike packs, hiking/ skiing poles, and much much more!

We, the Dalhousie Outdoors Society, would like to recognize that Halifax is located on Mi’kmaw territory, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.
