About the event
S-yéwyáw is a film focused on First Nations communities in British Columbia and how they have approached intergenerational healing and the preservation of their culture following the residential school system. It shares the stories of Elders from these BC communities to amplify their knowledge, wisdom and role in this process. Following the film, there will be a panel discussion which will focus on themes of intergenerational healing, and reducing academic barriers to First Nations communities at home. Admission is FREE!
