McNabs Island Birding and Hiking Trip

DOS is teaming up with the Dalhousie Birding Society for a fun day trip to McNabs Island! We will be taking public transit to and from the Wharf in East Hants where will take a boat charter to the Island and back. You can expect fun times, boat rides, and birds!

About the event
This is a unique opportunity for hikers of all skill levels to enjoy an adventure filled day exploring McNabs Island! We will hike a bit of the island and engage in some birding along the way.

Meeting Place: Dalhousie Student Union Building @ 8am on April 8th, as we will be walking to the Howe Hall bus stop soon after to catch the 1 at 8:24am.

Please bring lunch, water, warm clothes, a rain jacket, sun protection, sturdy hiking shoes (running shoes, hiking boots...), binoculars, and your Dal Bus Pass.
All participants that have chosen to take personal vehicles must meet at the A & M Charters wharf (87 Government Wharf Rd, Eastern Passage, NS B3G 1M7) by 9:30am, as the charter leaves at 10am.
Trip duration: Approximately 7.5 hrs. Depart from the SUB at 8:00am and return to Dalhousie Campus by 3:30pm.
